He began his career in the electrical engineering sector as a designer of electrical systems. He graduated in electronic engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 2001 with an experimental thesis at Siemens ICN dedicated to 3G amplifiers based on neuronal networks. After graduating, he began working in the vertical transport sector at the Infostation company for which he dealt with the electronic design and installation of infotainment displays inside the lift cabins. Following his experience in Infostation, he moved from production to the verification of earthing systems and lifts at the Notified Body CSDM and then returned to production first as a project manager in the GMV control panel production department and then as director of the production department of the control panels and pre-wiring of Liftex. He began his career in the vertical transportation industry as an apprentice in the family business, Imbimbo Ascensori, which was a FIAM elevator dealer at that time. He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Polytechnic of Turin in 2001 with an experimental thesis dedicated to non-destructive monitoring of wire ropes. Upon graduation, Nicola served as a design engineer with an international manufacturer of specialty lifts. Prior to joining the Prysmian Group in 2011, Nicola worked as a technical application engineer with several leading international companies involved in the production of wire ropes for lifting and transporting people.
